Thirty Second PSI

[action 1]
[Inspired by Japan, Crowe, and remembering the words of others who had spoken to him recently, Lucas, too, has decided that it is time he reclaim some of his lost battle skills. Once strong enough to stand to all but the deadliest of chimeras, the boy hasn't fought now in over a year . . .
Still, he can manage a sandbag propped up on a broomstick. The problem had been to get the stick not to snap immediately with a single hit, but he had managed by tying several together. Being shier in nature, Lucas is holed up in his backyard and practicing hard. It is possible, though, to hear his occasional shouts or grunts or even the thump of his bat smashing against the bag. Those who investigate will find that the boy has little technique whatsoever . . . He simply hits as quickly and powerfully as he can. But he moves with an awkward fluidity, and it appears he normally fights with chained attacks - 'comboing' hits with kicks, punches, and blows as he ducks and weaves and almost occasionally seems to glide through the air.]
[action 2]
[The accident happens about an hour in. Caught up in the fervor of combat, Lucas smashes the sandbag hard enough that it flies straight up into the air. And instinctively, with some sort of retained muscle memory, he thrusts out a hand and cries out.]
PK Flash!
[And immediately regrets it. The pulsing ball of green light gathers for a few moments before barreling outward to smash into the sandbag, catching it up and propelling it high into the air. Reaching about thirty feet in altitude, the PSI energy eventually flares outward in a massive burst of green light clearly visible from a distance. The sandbag explodes.
Lucas drops his bat and runs to his front yard. If you're anywhere nearby, he'll be running up to you with an expression of severe panic.]
. . . Are you alright?! Are you feeling OK?! You . . . Please say you didn't see the light!
((Lucas's PK Flash has odd effects. It's a burst of psychokinetic energy infused light that alters the brainwaves of those who see it. To be brief, PK Flash causes spontaneous crying to the point where your character is blinded by their own tears, paralysis, which is self-explanatory, feeling strange, which can be interpreted as violent hallucinations and delirium, or instant death. Or nothing, of course. Please don't choose the death option, aha.))

Date: 2011-03-05 10:59 pm (UTC)[Lucas can be forgiven for not recognizing Tavros's voice or matching this appearance to the one he was given earlier due to his panic. ... That and he's not a walking brick wall, either. He takes Tavros's hand and tugs a little.]
Come inside! Um. It's . . . safer!
no subject
Date: 2011-03-05 11:10 pm (UTC)Tavros follows, if a bit unsteadily because lol what is walking how does i do it properly and also because he still a bit shellshocked LUCAS I DIDN'T KNOW YOU FELT THIS WAY]

Date: 2011-03-05 11:53 pm (UTC)[Lucas has given up on tugging Tavros inside now, so he just kind of stands awkwardly looking at what he's done and feeling that sinking feeling.]
. . . Can I ask you to close your eyes for a bit?
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 02:18 am (UTC)And, um, if you say so, sure.
[Tavros squeezes his creepy yellow eyes (lucas what have you done!!!!!) shut and just kind of stands there awkwardly to match.]

Date: 2011-03-06 02:26 am (UTC)[....And he brushes his fingers lightly over Tavros's face. How does he even begin with this. . . . OK, well, the horns definitely have to go, so the stream of PSI he begins to direct into the troll split first to travel up towards Tavros's temples.
It probably feels pretty nice and smoothing and stuff. Not for Lucas, though, who realizes quickly that he can regrow cells, but wasn't too sure about destroying them.]

Date: 2011-03-06 02:34 am (UTC)Tavros is desperately trying not to peek, but is not doing so well at containing the laughing because that sure does feel funny.]
Heh heh, um, what are you doing, Lucas? It, uh, feels pretty weird heh.
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 02:53 am (UTC)[....And then he suddenly realizes something. The PSI dies away as Lucas's eyes fly open and he blinks in surprise.]
You know my name?
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 03:14 am (UTC)I'm, uh, Tavros, hey.
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 03:58 am (UTC)[Blink blink. Lucas's glow flickers on and off as if he isn't sure whether he ought to continue healing or not as he frowns.]
But. You . . . Um. Tavros? I'm going to ask something that might be really rude but I promise I don't mean it that way, OK?
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 04:02 am (UTC)kind of weird.]
Um, okay, that is fine, sure.

Date: 2011-03-06 04:09 am (UTC)no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 04:16 am (UTC)Tavros just snorts.]
Yeah, that is what we look like, except, all of our horns are different, so I guess I am the only one with the bull horns, heh, at least that I know, maybe there are others with, um, extremely large horns too, but I don't really know them.
It's, um, okay, if you think I look sort of funny, and like a monster, because I think you look sort of funny too, since you are way too pink, and also have weird nubby teeth, and no horns, and really strange audial canals, and are generally just a funny looking, um, human.

Date: 2011-03-06 04:37 am (UTC)[Lucas breathes a sigh of relief as his glow dies away for good.]
I thought . . . I-I thought I changed you somehow. I feel really dumb now. But I'm so glad . . .

Date: 2011-03-06 05:02 am (UTC)[The word is so funny that he can't help but giggle helplessly for a few seconds, unable to stop himself.]
I was so scared! I thought . . . something so dumb. That my PSI had turned into a transformation beam or . . . you know. A-And then I thought . . . That maybe it was kinda cool and I could disguise myself o-or turn Grady into . . .
[The longer he laughs, the more he can't stop.]

Date: 2011-03-06 05:18 am (UTC)[fuck it this is just a giggle party up in here can't contain this silliness any longer YOU HUMANS ARE JUST TOO WEIRD.]

Date: 2011-03-06 09:19 pm (UTC)You're not at all what I was thinking when you described yourself, you know.
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 09:29 pm (UTC). . . Uh, what did you think, I was supposed to be like?
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 09:30 pm (UTC)L-Let's just say a lot less human-like. And rocky.
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 09:35 pm (UTC)Um, I didn't think we'd ever actually, see it, or anything, and I guess I'm not that great at being a Tyrant, at all.
no subject
Date: 2011-03-06 09:48 pm (UTC)[Lucas blinks at him for a few seconds in astonishment before he shakes his head a little.]
Actually . . . I don't think the universe I'm from is the same one. But you really have the power to do something like that?
no subject
Date: 2011-03-07 02:01 am (UTC)Though, I guess everything is okay now, since we are here, and everything, even if it is during a weird time, and stuck in this really small town, but something must have happened.
