[voice, private to Rin Kagamine, Shiraasan, Tavros, and Nanashi]
I . . . I'm not sure what came over me. I guess it must have been the town playing tricks again, but I was feeling really strange last week. I'm really sorry. Especially to you, Tavros. We only just met and, um. You're not even a girl I don't think. I-I promise I don't actually like any of you, so please don't worry about that kind of thing.
I mean! Wait! I do like you, all of you, a lot! Just Not. Um. You know. Ah. Not like...... N-Not ............... I'm just going to apologize and hang up now.
[action]
1. [It is early Saturday morning and Lucas is walking a dog down the street. This is standard fare for Lucas's weekends, but Lucas appears significantly more animated than usual as he talks aloud, seemingly to himself. But actually . . . It's pretty clear he seems to think he's holding a conversation with someone. The dog is, of course, welcome to tag as well.]
2. [It is early Monday morning on the way to school and there are a few birds sitting on top of Lucas's head and shoulders, tweeting merrily away. Once again, he appears engrossed in a conversation.]
3. [I'm just going to outright say it. If you are an animal or own an animal, Lucas wants to talk to you/it.]
4. [In the Mayfield Library, Lucas has a table all to himself and is frowning a little as he concentrates on the task before him. There are photographs and hand-drawn pictures of people scattered all across -- much more of the latter. There are at least 30 different drawings, each of probably unfamiliar people. A blond man with a scarf and a cigarette and a dark-haired young woman feature prominently among them. ....What Lucas appears to be doing is fitting these pictures into an elegant notebook of some sort.]

Date: 2011-02-26 05:13 am (UTC)I've loved so many people here. But . . . my world needs me at home right now. And it's been hard . . . I wouldn't trade my time with Mr. Netherlands or with Miss Margot or with you for anything, but. It's more bad than it's good.

Date: 2011-02-26 07:59 pm (UTC)Sometimes we have to go and we feel sad, not because we weren't ready, but because we're afraid we won't get used to it. That's just something everyone's gotta go through, you know? I'm not saying it's wrong to look back. But we gotta learn how to move on, too.

Date: 2011-02-27 03:43 am (UTC). . . Oh. I . . . know what you mean. It's something I've learned, too. Many times. To let go of the past and to look forward. I don't know if I can agree about not planning, but . . . It's true that you have to live without regrets.

Date: 2011-02-27 04:14 am (UTC)Yeah. That's why... [ Takes both of his hands in hers.
A smile. ]
You should come with me! [ She suddenly stands up and pulls him out of his chair, gathers up his things for him, and when she thinks she's got everything, she takes Lucas' wrist and starts dragging him out the library. ]

Date: 2011-02-27 04:24 am (UTC)[Lucas, understandably, is completely caught unaware and only blinks in surprise for a few seconds as he is rolling out the library on his butt.]
W-Wait, what . . . ?! Where are we going?

Date: 2011-02-27 06:26 am (UTC)To have fun before something else happens!
[ Stops to help him up with one hand. ] Come on, get up, get up. I can't play with you if you're on your butt!
[ Taiwan, you're like, eighteen... Well, she starts dragging Lucas out again. They're out the door and about to go down the stairs. ]

Oh, you wanna go to the malt shop? I love that place! My friend Taiga works there...
She's not, um, herself, though. Lately.

Date: 2011-02-28 04:08 am (UTC)She stopped putting sparkles on my ice cream, [ she means sprinkles ] and she suddenly got better at roller skating. Some days ago, she was really mad about something... [ a murder, but he doesn't need to know that ] I wonder if that has anything to do with her state now?
Well, I don't mind going to the malt shop, either. I'm sure she'll come back in a few days.
