A kind and gentle boy, Lucas lived with his family in the Verdant Forest as a child, the only life he ever knew. But after an attack from an unidentified Pokémon, he lost his mother to its rage, his brother to the wilderness, and his father to despair. AVEY Eevee (m)

Lucas's first partner, met at Level 5 in Union City. His closest companion since childhood, they suffered the loss of their family together. Avey is a Bold fighter, highly persistent in his aims.

Evolving at Level 25, Dozer remains surly and generally unenthusiastic about his trainer's efforts. More independent now, he wanders Union in search of easy entertainment and thrills - he still loves to eat, though.

SCOUT Sentret (f)

A lone Sentret found wandering Verdant Forest at Level 5, Scout is a Serious but easily distracted companion. Highly curious, she scurries off at the first sight of something unusual.

An adorable food thief met at Level 11 in the Mountains, Teddie attached himself to Lucas after eating his sandwiches. A Gentle creature, Teddie is childish and clumsy, scattering things often. He prefers playing to fighting.

FERRO steelix (m)

A Level 18 Steelix met in the Caverns, Ferro was healed by Lucas following the earthquakes. Ferro's Hardy and grim nature made it difficult to bond until they found common ground in... hula-hooping. ...He likes to thrash about.

A whirl through the skies induced Piyo's evolution at Level 34, and she happily took to her new wings. Her interests now include sunshine, flying, random Metronomes, and wandering off while Lucas makes her meals.

Wandering the Mausoleum, the Level 13 Drifter found herself tugged away by Lucas instead of the other way around. Naive and a bit absent, she isn't quite sure what she's doing in Union. She takes plenty of siestas.

Another egg from the Union Breeding Center, Bandit hatched at Level 1 and immediately began, well. Banditry. He's a bit too quick-tempered and Hasty to be very stealthy, but Lucas can already sense the future headaches.

Met at Level 6 in the Verdant Forest, Sting is intensely Calm, capable of taking hits, and excellent at poisoning passer-bys at random. Lucas would feel bad about being scared of Sting if Sting weren't trying so hard to be scary.

A Gentle creature, the Level 4 Mallow floated onto Lucas's head during a walk in the Verdant Forest and never left. Cuddly and soft, Mallow enjoys taking plenty of siestas with Drifter and doesn't mind being a pillow.

The Level 8 Wisp was found wandering Union during the flower infestation. Milder than her companions, she helped Lucas care for the flowers outside his home with her Rain Dance. She often seems lost in thought.

After the incident in Citadel, Lucas was given an egg from Union. Hatching at Level 1, Aries is Modest and mild-mannered, preferring peace and quiet. It has a bad habit of shocking anyone it touches when lost in thought.
